State House Nairobi has Clarified it is not Sponsoring any Political Party

President Kibaki’s handlers attempted to quash claims that it was sponsoring Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi or any other candidate as reported in sections of the media.
In a terse statement sent by the Presidential Press Service, the president’s official communication office challenged the media to stop its obsession with critics led by Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo over claims it was backing some candidates.
“We refer to news reports attributed to Cyrus Jirongo who has alleged that State House is sponsoring various political parties in the country,” the statement said.
State House described Jirongo’s remarks as careless and irresponsible. “ We will not give
any credence to the allegations from a political activist whose political and business history is very well known to the Kenyan public,” the PPS Statement said.
“As a presidential candidate who seeks to occupy State House he should be telling Kenyans what he will do to transform their lives not yapping State House...State House every time he opens his mouth,” The statement clearly reflecting displeasure said.
But a witty Jiroingo rebutted State House statement with a brief liner quoting Budha. Said Jirongo: "In response to a statement attributed to State House officials concerning my recent political pronouncements, the following is my
response:"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the TRUTH. Jirongo did not elaborate.
And in a related development, President Kibaki’s private secretary Professor Nick Wanjohi distanced himself any political party including Musalia Mudavadi’s United Dem orcartic Front that has been reportedly linked to him in media.
Said Wanjohi: “Various reports have been published lately in sections of the media
linking my office of Private Secretary to His Excellency the President to political parties.”
He went on “as a serving member of the civil service, I remain apolitical.”
“I am currently fully engaged in serving His Excellency and I am not a member of any political party,” Wanjohi said.
Media should desist from making these deliberate and constant references associating me with political parties.
