Three Dead in Grenade Attack in Mombasa

A day after the US government warned of a possible terrorist attack in Mombasa, it has become to be true that their claim may have been valid. The attack has occurred after 9 pm in Jericho bar near Lights in Mishomoroni, Kisauni Constituency. Three are feared dead and many others injured. It is believed to have been a grenade attack to the revelers in the bar on Sunday evening. This comes hours after the acting head of public service, Francis Kimemia and Tourism minister, Dan Mwanzo have publicly protested to the US government for issuing the threat alert terming it as malicious. Sentiments that were also shared by the vice president, Kalonzo Musyoka. The three, Francis Kimemia, Dan Mwanzo, and Kalonzo Musyoka termed the terror alert in Mombasa as economic sabotage in Kenya bearing in  mind that the coastal towns relies heavily on tourism. There have been many attacks in the coastal towns which are believed to be perpetrated by the al-qaeda linked insurgents, the al-Shabaab.
